Directed by Paula Rodriguez Negron, a film and TV production student who interned with our company whilst studying at the University of York St John University, and Produced by Adam Gill, who has 25+ years experience in International Broadcast Television (Disney, Discovery, the BBC) now working as a Freelance Producer Director in York.
'Sea Glass' is an ambitious project with a 'Stranger Things' meets Dr Who vibe, featuring a stunning location and a cast of talented young actors.
The themes, characters and storyline are all elements that resonate with Quanticopia’s philosophy of Empowering self-confidence and self-awareness through storytelling, creativity, and media production.
At its core, Sea Glass delves into themes of friendship, growing up, and the fear of change, as the group of friends faces both supernatural events and the reality of moving on with their lives. The mysterious crystals and the lighthouse serve as metaphors for fragmented memories and the idea that the past is never truly lost, it just needs to be uncovered.
Sea Glass’ has an introspective and emotional depth, mixed with supernatural elements, would appeal to viewers who enjoy indie dramas with unique storytelling, including Indie & Arthouse Film Enthusiasts.

'Spurn Point' Lighthouse : A Testing Location

Filming at Spurn Wildlife Trust Nature Reserve was challenging, but it was also a lot of fun. The lighthouse, where we were based, is cut off by the tide twice a day. Thanks to the Yorkshire Wildlife Trust for their kind and tireless support.
