AI Visionaries
A collaboration with York Explore Libraries
Exploring AI Responsibly.
An initiative designed to empower Young People with the skills and confidence to interact with artificial intelligence in creative and responsible ways. Participants learned how to use AI tools to generate images, animations, developed storyboards and recorded voiceovers, all while being encouraged to take ethical, thoughtful control over the technology.
The workshop run by Adam Gill and Renee Rainville of Quanticopia on behalf of York’s Explore Libraries was designed to enhance digital literacy and highlighted the importance of understanding how AI can be a tool for creativity, not a replacement of it.
A time-travel narrative.
Young creators explored the past and imagined the future of their own community. They worked through real-world creative challenges, developed critical thinking skills, and brought original ideas to life in claymation-style animations.
Beyond technical skills, participants built confidence in their creative voice and worked together to produce an original narrative. By sharing ideas and learning from each other, they developed social and collaborative skills essential for any future-ready mindset.
As AI continues to reshape our world, initiatives like this are vital to ensure young people grow up equipped not just to use AI, but to understand, question, and shape it creatively and ethically.
